🎨 My Approach
Designing for skincare means designing for trust. With Lune, my approach was to create a packaging system that spoke to the quiet luxury of nighttime rituals. From hand-drawn botanical illustrations to the interplay of moonlight-inspired gradients and matte textures, every design element was chosen to evoke calm, purity, and efficacy. The labels and structural packaging were built on a modular system—ensuring consistency across SKUs while allowing each product its own identity. This method allowed the design to scale as the brand grows while preserving a unified visual language.
🌟 Vision and Innovation
The vision behind Lune’s packaging was to merge soft, celestial elegance with contemporary minimalist design. Night creams and serums are deeply personal products, and the packaging needed to reflect both intimacy and integrity. I introduced innovation not only through aesthetics—like pearlescent foil details and embossed lunar textures—but also in form. Using recyclable frosted glass, eco-friendly labels, and space-efficient cartons, the final design blends sustainability with sensorial luxury. The result is packaging that feels like a natural extension of the product it holds: refined, effective, and conscious.
🧩 Identifying Unique Challenges
Lune presented a set of nuanced challenges: how to differentiate SKUs with similar functions; how to communicate complex ingredient benefits in a minimalist style; and how to balance regulatory information with visual appeal. I addressed these through layered information design—using subtle icon systems, controlled typography scales, and color-coding by category. Each label was engineered to hold space for marketing copy, usage instructions, and mandatory disclaimers without compromising the serene aesthetic. Through this, the packaging not only met compliance but enhanced clarity and consumer trust.
